Advantages and Disadvantages of HTML

In the previous post we learn about What is HTML tags.In this post we will learn what are the advantages and disadvantages of HTML.Before we discuss the advantages and disadvantages of HTML we must know What is HTML.

What is HTML:
HTML stands for Hyper Text Markup Language.HTML language is used for creating web pages for the world wide web.In HTML a block of text is surrounded with tags.Also in HTML a word or image or text can be linked to another document on the web.HTML files are viewed with a world wide web browser.

Advantages of HTML:

1. HTML is widely used.
2. HTML is easy to learn and understand than any other programming language.
3. We can write HTML code in any text editor like notepad, sublime text, brackets,  text mate, text pad etc.
4. If some part of HTML program are not working properly then we can find error easily.
5. We can easily understand the structure of our page.
6. Every browser support HTML language.
7. HTML program can be created on any Hardware configuration computer using any text editor. 
8. We can HTML in any text editor so we don't need to spend money for buying a license.
9. We can work independently from our computer so we don't need any software.

Disadvantages of HTML:

1. It provides only static output it means that HTML can provide read only information so if we need dynamic pages then HTML is not helpful.
2. HTML is not a perfect programming language.
3. In HTML we need to write lot of code for simple web page.
4. HTML can not be used to apply operation on strings and date.
5. The security of HTML is not good.
6. The web pages developed in HTML can not act like an application.
7. The web pages developed in HTML do not have their own interfaces.Interfaces are provided by using vbscript and javascript.
